Sophie is a warm, positive and driven Physiotherapist who emphasises patient care above all else. She graduated from LaTrobe University with a Bachelor of Applied Science and Master of Physiotherapy Practice.  Having a background in high level gymnastics, Sophie has personally managed and dealt with an array of her own injuries. This experience has given her a deeper understanding of the challenges of recovery and the complexities of pain.​

 

Sophie has developed a specialised interest in Clinical Pilates, bringing with her a wealth of knowledge gained through experience and extensive external training.  Sophie incorporates Clinical Pilates principles into her treatment plans, focusing on tailored, evidence-based approaches to help patients build strength, flexibility, and balance for better outcomes. 

 

There is no one-size-fits-all to Clinical Pilates and Sophie is always happy to work closely with people to create a tailored program that matches their goals, be that for those clients who have just recently made the decision to be more active, through to those who are further along their fitness journey and are seeking more advanced guidance to move to the next level.

 

Sophie's particular skillset includes managing hip, pelvis, and groin pain. She places a high emphasis on early and accurate diagnosis, and employs hands-on therapy and exercise rehabilitation to speed up recovery and get her patients back to doing the things that matter.

Sophie's holistic approach to care addresses the root causes of pain and dysfunction, focusing on long-term health and wellbeing. Sophie’s goal is to provide personalised, effective treatment that fosters independence and encourages her patients to stay active and engaged in their recovery.

Outside of work, Sophie enjoy discovering the best local cafes and wine bars, is a huge AFL and Melbourne Demons fan, and loves a weekend camping to escape from the city!
